There’s a list but, well………..
So, I just wrote a blog post about how I believe we have lists of what characteristics we’re looking for in a person. Whether consciously or not, we have that list.
But, I think that part of the list is things we’re not sure about. Today I was talking to a friend and I asked her if she thought there was anything wrong with the fact that I am not sure if I want to be with an Orthodox or just traditional guy. Even though this distinction has huge repercussions, she didn’t think so and actually, I think that being unsure is potentially a very positive thing. The more open you are to who your beshert might be, the more you admit that “the one” is probably going to come somewhat as a surprise to you. Maybe the more open you are to the possibilities and the unknown, the more ready you are to meet the right person.
Needless to say, not sure it’s a good idea to have too long a list.
