Oh, you don’t mind dating?

It’s important not to think that your experience is everyone’s experience. I once was talking to a guy who did the dating thing for years, supposedly trying to find a wifey. After years of this shidduch dating, he came to the realization that something within himself was stopping him from finding his beshert (he since went to therapy and found a lovely wife). I said that all that dating must have been so combersome for him and he said, “No, not at all! I loved dating. I found it fun.” But, he wanted to meet someone to marry so he needed to figure out how to make that happen.
Oh… So, he basically was able to seperate the experience into two. There was the dating, aka, meeting different people and getting to know them and there was the long-term goal of meeting someone.
My point being, in general, not everyone feels the same way about certain experiences and, specifically, there are people out there who really don’t mind dating for marriage, even if it goes on for years, supposedly unsuccessfully.
Hm.
